Association synagogue Untere Viaduktgasse
The association synagogue Untere Viaduktgasse is a synagogue built in 1870 by the Israelite prayer house association "Beth Hachneseth". It is located in the 3rd district of Vienna, Landstrasse, and offers 120 seats. It is located in the back courtyard of Untere Viaduktgasse 13 and is still there as a structural shell. In 1938 the synagogue was devastated and after the Second World War the remaining building was initially used as a warehouse and an annex was added. Nowadays the Austrian painter Christian Ludwig Attersee uses the space as a studio .
