Verena Themsen (* 1970 in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel as Verena Luger ) is a German writer .

Life

Verena Themsen attended grammar school in Neuenbürg near Pforzheim . After studying physics at the University of Hamburg and the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , she did her doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics on the subject of a storage ring target for high-precision steel profile diagnosis based on a magneto-optical atom trap .

She wrote for Elfenzeit , a fantasy series in Club Bertelsmann , and SunQuest , a science fantasy series in Fabylon Verlag by Uschi Zietsch . For the science fiction series Perry Rhodan she wrote volume # 29 for Perry Rhodan-Action and volume # 11 for Perry Rhodan-Extra . She has been a team author for the main series of the Perry Rhodan series since 2011 and wrote, for example, the anniversary volume # 2900 “Der kosmische Erbe” in 2017, which introduced the Genesis cycle.
