The Davos Regional Transport Authority (VBD) has been operating the Davos local bus network, which currently comprises seven lines, since 1990 . For this purpose, he currently has his own fleet of 13 buses, which is supplemented by the vehicles of several concessionaires.
Route network
The Davos line network consists of seven lines, which extend over the entire Davos landscape:

Diameter line 1
Line 1 represents the backbone of the Davos local nut network and runs through the Davos landscape from north to south.
It leads from the Kehrplatz of the Laret Landhaus stop, which is located in the north of the municipality near the hamlet Laret, over the Prättigauerstrasse to the top of the Wolfgang pass and from there past the Hochgebirgsklinik and along Lake Davos . From the Dorf train station, the route follows the promenade past the Parsennbahn valley station and on to Davos Platz, where Postplatz and Davos Spital can be reached via the congress center , sports center and the Schatzalpbahn valley station . The line then leaves the center of Davos to follow the Landwassertal to the south and via the hamlet Frauenkirch, the mill and the Glaris train station with the valley station of the Rinerhornbahn to reach the southern end point in Glaris Ortolfi.
Line 1 runs every 15 minutes between Glaris and Wolfgang during the day in winter. Every second course continues from Wolfgang to Laret, which results in a 30-minute cycle on this short section. At the edge of the day, both outer sections Glaris - Spital and Davos Dorf - Laret will be gradually thinned out. From around 7 p.m. to midnight, there is only one course per hour in the northern and southern outer fractions.
In summer, there are courses between Glaris and Laret every half hour, which are compressed to a 15-minute cycle between the hospital and the Dorf train station. In late-night traffic, the outer fractions are opened hourly as in winter.
In addition to the buses of the VBD, one round trip is regularly served by vehicles from Kessler AG and from PostBus Graubünden.
The travel time for the entire route is around 34 minutes to the north and around 32 minutes to the south.
Circuit lines 3 and 4
Lines 3 and 4 form complementary circuits in the center of Davos.
Line 3 leads from the Stilli stop on the edge of the Flüela valley via the Dorf train station and the promenade to Postplatz and on to Platz train station, where the Jakobshornbahn valley station is also located, before returning to Dorf train station via Talstrasse.
Line 4 runs on the same route in the opposite direction: It starts at Dorf train station, follows Talstrasse to Platz train station, from there via Postplatz, the promenade and again past the Dorf train station to the Stilli terminus. On the Promenade and Talstrasse, the number 4 buses run contrary to the one-way traffic rules that apply on both streets.
The circular routes run every 15 minutes during rush hour in winter. At the edge of the day, the gate on Talstrasse and between Bahnhof Dorf and Stilli station is only served once an hour and in each direction.
In summer there is also a 15-minute cycle per direction on the promenade during the day. Only every second course continues on the Talstrasse and to Stilli, which results in a 30-minute cycle.
The average travel time from Stilli and counterclockwise (line 3) is 25 minutes and clockwise and to Stilli (line 4) 24 minutes.
The vehicles change at the endpoints Stilli and Bahnhof Dorf for the return journey from one line to the other, and in summer every second course turns at the Bahnhof Platz.
Sertig (line 8)
Line 8 leads from Davos Platz train station to the hospital, on to Clavadel, which is located above the valley entrance to the Sertig Valley , to the end of the Sertig Valley to Sertig Sand.
This line is served by PostBus Graubünden and runs hourly all year round, with individual journeys from Platz train station only going to a turning point at the Clavadel High Altitude Clinic and back. The bus usually takes 25 minutes uphill and 27 minutes downhill for the entire route.
Monstein (line 10)
Line 10 connects the end of line 1 in Glaris with the village of Monstein, which is located high above the Landwassertal.
A postbus is also used on this line, serving the route every hour. The journey time is 12 minutes uphill and 11 minutes downhill.
Dischma (lines 12 and 13)
Line 12 starts at the Dorf train station and opens up the rear Dischma valley . Beyond Teufi, the route follows the paved road to Dürrboden.
There are five courses every day, exclusively in the summer season. The trips are carried out with vehicles from Kessler AG. The journey time is 30 minutes.
Line 13 connects the Dorf train station along Dischmastrasse with the farms and hamlets of the lower Dischma valley and ends in Teufi.
Between the train station and the Duchli sawmill, buses run about every half hour all year round, and continue every hour to Teufi. The journey takes about 12 minutes.

The fleet currently comprises 13 low-floor buses. All are equipped with particle filters, which remove 99% of the soot and fine dust from the exhaust gases. On average, each bus travels around 35,000 kilometers a year, the peak performance is around 70,000 km, and a public service bus has been in service for 12–13 years. (As of March 26, 2008 )

The VBD Davos owned 2008 13 buses to the MAN -Midibus all of Mercedes-Benz . These are the vehicles listed above in detail. They are parked in the new garage of the VBD Davos in Oberdorf. All vehicles are low-floor buses, which makes getting on at the bus stops easier. The articulated buses are mainly used on lines 1 and 7. The buses of the VBD who do not wear full advertising, have a white-yellow paint. One bus is painted black with full advertising for Casino Davos, one car is painted white and advertises the Davos electricity works and one car advertises the Rätia Center. The standard buses have three doors, which enables faster entry and exit of the vehicle and thus a shorter standing time at the stops. The articulated buses used in Davos have four doors, two in front of the articulation and two behind the articulation. The midibus procured in 2006 is the only VBD bus with only 2 doors. It is used on line 13 between Davos Dorf and Durchli Sage or Teufi. As of 2017, only Mercedes-Benz Citaro with Euro 6 and Euro 5 will be in Davos.

From July 2008 all vehicles will be equipped with defibrillators.
Since summer 2009 there has been a new cash register system in all buses.
In the course of the annual World Economic Forum in Davos , the vehicles of the VBD and its partners will be covered with full international advertisements for the duration of the conference.
