Transport engineering
The road construction (as transportation infrastructure ) as special area of civil engineering or traffic sciences deals with the planning and design, construction, repair and maintenance and the renovation or demolition of buildings and structures of the transport sector ( transport infrastructure ) at the expense of the mode of transport , the pays for the costs. Transportation engineering is one of the core subjects of civil engineering, which is known internationally as civil engineering and formed the counterpart to military engineering. Naturally, one of the pioneers' activities was building land transport routes. Contents are u. a. Dimensioning and construction of the substructure and superstructure of the transport infrastructure, routing and construction planning.
