Vermin is a German metal / death 'n' roll band from Bayreuth in Upper Franconia .

history

Vermin was founded in Bayreuth in 2003. The founding members Thomas Bodenschatz (vocals) and Manuel Herz (drums) found a live formation with Lucas Fischer (guitar) and played their first concerts. The rehearsal room demo Finest Kind of Shit was published in 2006.

After several line-up changes and short breaks, guitarist Stephan Hurtig joined the band in 2007, and the second demo Frozen Mirror and the live EP Strike Your Idols Down were released in 2009. During this time, the band toured Europe for the first two weeks as the opening act for the death metal band Master . In the late summer of 2009, the band played the hardstage festival mini-tour, which included four live concerts, as the opening act for the Americans Six Feet Under in Germany and Switzerland.

With a stable line- up around the new bass player and good friend of the band Simon Reuter, the EP At Sanitys Dawn was released in 2010 . At the beginning of 2011 the first studio album Paradise was released by Heretic Visions Productions / Twilight Distribution, which was produced, mixed and mastered by Stephan Fimmers ( Necrophagist ) at Aexxys Art Studios .

With the release of their debut album Paradise on March 25, 2011, the band went straight on tour as the opening act for the Norwegian Ragnarök and the Brazilian death metal band Nervo Chaos on their joint Occult Rituals tour . Another tour followed towards the end of the year in support of Debauchery and Pandemia through Central Europe . In 2012, numerous other concerts at home and abroad followed, as well as some live performances at well-known festivals.

In 2013, the singer Thomas Bodenschatz left the band due to internal disagreements. Tobias Kurz became the band's new singer.

In early June 2013, the band signed a record deal with the German label Blacksmith Records . Then in December 2013 the second studio album entitled Mind Control , which was produced in the Blacksmith Studios by Timo Rotten ( Varg ), was released.

At the beginning of 2014 the band separated from their singer Tobias Kurz due to internal disagreements. Further appearances were made with the old singer Thomas Bodenschatz.

In March 2015, the band announced their breakup.
