Veronica Cavallar (born August 12, 1983 in Cles ) is a former Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Cavallar took part from 2001 to 2013 mainly in competitions of the Continental Cup . Her best overall placement was 19th place in the 2012/13 season in the Alpencup . She ran her first of a total of 27 individual World Cup races in December 2003 in Toblach , which she finished in 48th place in the 15 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in 2005 , she achieved 44th place in the 30 km mass start race. In the 2006/07 season she was third at La Sgambeda and thus reached sixth place in the overall standings of the Marathon Cup . At the beginning of April 2008 she won the bronze medal in the team competition at the 2008 Military World Ski Championships in Hochfilzen . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 she came in 49th place over 10 km classic. At the beginning of the 2011/12 season she took her first World Cup points in Davos with 29th place in the 15 km freestyle. In the further course of the season she came in Rogla with the 27th place in the 10 km mass start race and in Nové Město with the 25th place in the 15 km mass start race again in the points. She finished 85th in the overall World Cup. In her last active season, she came 34th in the 2012/13 Tour de Ski . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she finished 35th in the 10 km freestyle and 33rd place in the skiathlon .
