Veronika Vařeková
Veronika Vařeková (born June 19, 1977 in Olomouc ) is a Czech supermodel . Her name is also often given as Veronica Varekova in the English media.
biography
Vařeková comes from Olomouc and moved to New York City , USA at the age of 19 . She originally wanted to go to the Parsons School of Design , but instead she started modeling and signed a contract with Next Model Management . She went to Europe when it became clear that she had more success there. She is fluent in three languages and has degrees in psychology and education . In July 2004 she married the ice hockey player Petr Nedvěd , the separation then took place in summer 2006.
Working and appearing as a model
Vařeková appeared in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition eight times: 1999–2002 and 2004–2007. According to Sports Illustrated, she was featured in Victoria's Secret , but she decided not to renew her contract. At that time she became the face of Nivea . Also, did she have contracts with Guess? , Chanel and Pantene . She was cover girl for Marie Claire , Harpers & Queen and Cosmopolitan .
