The Herrnhut administrative community was a Saxon administrative community in the Görlitz district . It was in the center of the southern part of the district about 14 km northwest of Zittau and 14 km southeast of Löbau . The fulfilling community was the eponymous city of Herrnhut.
Member municipalities
Before its dissolution, the administrative community consisted of the following two municipalities:
- Berthelsdorf with the districts Berthelsdorf and Rennersdorf
- Herrnhut with the districts of Herrnhut, Ninive , Ruppersdorf / OL , Schwan, Friedensthal, Strahwalde , Euldorf, Großhennersdorf , Heuscheune, Neundorf auf dem Eigen and Schönbrunn
history
The administrative community was founded on January 1, 2000 by the city of Herrnhut and the communities of Berthelsdorf, Großhennersdorf and Strahwalde. Due to the incorporation of Strahwaldes on January 1, 2010 and Großhennersdorf on January 1, 2011 to Herrnhut, the number of member communities fell to two. Berthelsdorf was incorporated into Herrnhut with effect from January 1, 2013, as a result of which the administrative community was finally dissolved.
