The administrative community Mansfelder Grund-Helbra was a regional authority in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It was founded on January 1, 1993 with its seat in the municipality of Helbra. On January 1, 2005, the administrative community was expanded to include the communities of Benndorf and Bornstedt. Since June 15, 2009 the communities Blankenheim (from the administrative community Allstedt-Kaltenborn ) and Klostermansfeld (from the administrative community Gerbstedt ) belonged to the administrative community. 17,324 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​71.18 km² (as of December 31, 2007).

On January 1, 2010, the administrative community became the Verbandsgemeinde Mansfelder Grund-Helbra with the same member communities. The last head of the administrative community was Hans-Joachim Zinke.

The "dirty pig festival " is celebrated every year in Mansfelder Grund as one of the oldest German Whitsun customs.
