The Verbandsgemeinde Mansfelder Grund-Helbra was established on January 1, 2010 in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt . The forerunner of the Verbandsgemeinde was the administrative community Mansfelder Grund-Helbra with the same member communities. The annual “Pentecost Dance” was included in the German register of good practice examples in the preservation of intangible cultural heritage in 2018 .

The Verbandsgemeinde Mansfelder Grund-Helbra has the following eight member communities:

The coat of arms was approved by the district on June 2, 2010.
Blazon : "In silver a blue left sloping river, accompanied above by diagonally crossed black mallets and iron below a green deciduous tree with a black trunk."
The colors of the association are green and white.

traffic
In Blankenheim (Kr Mansfeld-Südharz) there is a train station on the Halle – Hann railway line. Münden . This is where the Berlin – Blankenheim railway ( cannon railway ) branches off. The station of the Mansfeld Mining Railway is in Klostermansfeld , railway line Klostermansfeld – Wippra . The Klostermansfeld train station is also on the Magdeburg-Erfurt railway line.
