Administrative community Gerbstedt
The Gerbstedt administrative community was a regional authority in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz . It was founded on January 1, 2005 and when it was dissolved it comprised the parishes
- Augsdorf
- Free
- Friedeburg (Saale)
- Friedeburgerhütte with the district Adendorf
- Gerbstedt
- Heiligenthal with the districts of Helmsdorf and Lochwitz
- Huebitz
- Ihlewitz
- Rottelsdorf with the district of Bösenburg
- Siersleben with the district of Thondorf
- Welfesholz and
- Zabenstedt
With this composition it had an area of 102.26 km² and 8,628 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2006). The seat of the administrative community was the city of Gerbstedt. The last head of the administrative community was Steven Schulz.
Until June 15, 2009, the communities Burgsdorf and Klostermansfeld belonged to it, which then changed to the administrative community Lutherstadt Eisleben and the administrative community Mansfelder Grund-Helbra .
On January 1, 2010, the administrative community was dissolved, all municipalities except Heiligenthal, Freist and Friedeburg (Saale) formed the new unit municipality Gerbstedt .
