In the administrative community of the Wurzbach region in what is now the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia , the city of Wurzbach and six municipalities had come together to handle their administrative business. The administrative seat was Wurzbach.
The municipalities
history
The administrative community was founded on October 12, 1994 from five previously independent communities and two communities belonging to the Heinersdorf administrative community. All commissioning municipalities of the administrative community were incorporated into Wurzbach through the municipal area reform in Thuringia on July 1, 1999 .
