Vesterhede Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Vesterhede kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Hejnsvig Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until October 1, 2010 it was only a church district in Hejnsvig Sogn. When all church districts in Denmark were dissolved on this date, it became an independent Sogn.

381 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Vesterhede Kirke".

history

Until 1970 Hejnsvig Sogn belonged to Harde Slavs Herred in what was then Ribe Office , then to Grindsted Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into Billund Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
