Grindsted Kirke

Grindsted Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Slavs Herred in the then Ribe Office , then to the Grindsted Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Billund municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 . On October 1, 2010, the former church districts of Mollund Kirkedistrikt and Urup Kirkedistrikt in Grindsted Sogn became independent Sogne Nollund Sogn and Urup Sogn with the abolition of the Danish church districts .

10,405 inhabitants live in the parish, 9,782 of them in the city of Grindsted, until 2006 the center of the Grindsted municipality (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Grindsted Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Sønder Omme Sogn in the north, Filskov Sogn in the northeast, Grene Sogn in the east, Hejnsvig Sogn and Stenderup Sogn in the south , and Ansager Sogn , Skovlund Sogn and Ølgod Sogn in the neighboring Varde municipality to the west , and Hoven Sogn in Ringkøbing-Skjern Commune in the northwest.
