Ringkøbing-Skjern Kommune is a Danish municipality in the Midtjylland region in western Jutland . It was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of local government reform by merging the previous five municipalities of Ringkøbing , Skjern , Egvad , Videbæk and Holmsland in the Ringkjøbing office .

The municipality has a total population of 56,594 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) and it covers an area of ​​1,469.50 km².

Iver Enevoldsen has been mayor of the municipality since 2010. He belongs to the Venstre party .
