Syddjurs Municipality is a Danish municipality in eastern Jutland . It was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of local government reform by merging the previous municipalities Ebeltoft , Midtdjurs , Rosenholm and Rønde in the Århus Office .

Syddjurs municipality has a total population of 42,962 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) and an area of ​​689.70 km². It is part of the Midtjylland region and the administrative headquarters are in Rønde .
