Favrskov Kommune is a Danish municipality in Jutland . It was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of local government reform by merging the previous municipalities of Hadsten , Hammel and Hinnerup as well as the southern part of Langå municipality (parishes Granslev , Houlbjerg and Laurbjerg ) in the Århus office and the Hvorslev municipality in the Viborg office .

Favrskov Municipality has a total population of 48,397 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) and an area of ​​540.30 km². It is part of the Midtjylland region . The seat of the administration is in Hinnerup .
