Hadsten Commune was a Danish commune in what was then Århus Amt in East Jutland until December 2006 . Since January 2007 it has been part of the newly formed Favrskov municipality together with the former municipalities of Hammel , Hinnerup and Hvorslev , as well as part of the municipality of Langå .
Hadsten Municipality was created as part of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and included the following Sogn :

- Ødum Sogn (rural municipality Ødum-Hadbjerg)
- Nørre Galten Sogn (rural municipality of Nørre Galten-Vissing )
- Vissing Sogn (rural municipality Nørre Galten-Vissing)
- Hadsten Sogn (rural community Vitten-Haldum-Hadsten )
- Lerbjerg Sogn (rural municipality Laurbjerg-Lerbjerg )
- Lyngå Sogn (rural municipality Lyngå)
- Voldum Sogn (rural community Voldum-Rud )
- Rud Sogn (rural community Voldum-Rud)
