Until December 2006, Hørning Kommune was a Danish municipality in what was then the Århus Office in East Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Skanderborg Municipality together with the “old” Skanderborg Municipality , the Galten Municipality , the Ry Municipality and the eastern part of the Voerladegård parish of Brædstrup Municipality .
Hørning Kommune was created as part of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following sogn :
