Hammel Kommune was until December 2006 a Danish municipality in what was then Århus Amt in East Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the newly formed Favrskov municipality together with the former municipalities of Hadsten , Hinnerup and Hvorslev , as well as part of the municipality of Langå .
Hammel Kommune was created as part of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
- Hammel Sogn (rural municipality Hammel-Voldby-Søby )
- Søby Sogn (rural municipality Hammel-Voldby-Søby)
- Voldby Sogn (rural municipality Hammel-Voldby-Søby)
- Haurum Sogn (rural community Haurum-Sall )
- Sall Sogn (rural community Haurum-Sall)
- Røgen Sogn ( Røgen-Sporup Rural Municipality )
- Sporup Sogn (Røgen-Sporup Rural Municipality)
- Lading Sogn (rural community Lading)
- Skjød Sogn (rural municipality Skjød)
