Ebeltoft Kommune was until December 2006 a Danish municipality on the Djursland peninsula in East Jutland in what was then the Århus Office . Since January 2007 it has been part of the newly formed Syddjurs municipality together with the municipalities of Midtdjurs , Rosenholm and Rønde .

Ebeltoft municipality was created in the course of the administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :

• Ebeltoft Sogn
• Helgenæs Sogn (rural municipality of Helgenæs)
• Tved Sogn (rural community Tved)
• Vistoft Sogn (rural municipality of Vistoft)
• Dråby Sogn (rural municipality Dråby)
• Agri Sogn and Egens Sogn (rural municipality Agri-Egens )
• Hyllested Sogn and Rosmus Sogn (rural municipality of Hyllested-Rosmus )
• Knebel Sogn and Rolsø Sogn (rural municipality Knebel-Rolsø )
• Tirstrup Sogn and Fuglslev Sogn (rural municipality Tirstrup-Fuglslev )
