Until December 2006, Grenaa Municipality was a Danish municipality on the Djursland peninsula in eastern Jutland in what was then the Århus Office . Since January 2007 it has been part of the newly formed Norddjurs municipality together with Nørre Djurs Kommune , Rougsø Kommune and the eastern part of Sønderhald Kommune .
Grenaa municipality was created in the course of the administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
- Grenaa Sogn (City of Grenaa)
- Anholt Sogn (rural municipality of Anholt)
- Hammelev Sogn and Enslev Sogn (rural municipality Hammelev-Enslev )
- Lyngby Sogn and Albøge Sogn (rural municipality Lyngby-Albøge )
- Vejlby Sogn and Homå Sogn (rural municipality Vejlby-Homå )
- Ålsø Sogn and Hoed Sogn (rural municipality Ålsø-Hoed )
