Langå Municipality was a Danish municipality in the then Århus Office in East Jutland until December 2006 . It was created as part of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and included the following sogn :
- Houlbjerg Sogn and Granslev Sogn (rural municipality Houlbjerg-Granslev )
- Værum Sogn and Ørum Sogn (rural municipality Værum-Ørum )
- Øster Velling Sogn , Helstrup Sogn and Grensten Sogn (rural municipality Øster Velling-Helstrup-Grensten )
- Langå Sogn and Torup Sogn (rural municipality Langå-Torup-Sønder Vinge )
- Laurbjerg Sogn (rural municipality Laurbjerg-Lerbjerg )
In the course of another administrative reform in 2007, Langå municipality was split up. The southern Sogn Granslev, Houlbjerg and Laurbjerg have since formed the newly formed Favrskov municipality with the former municipalities of Hammel , Hadsten , Hinnerup and Hvorslev . The remaining Sogns were added to the large community of Randers .
