Hejnsvig Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Slavs Herred in the then Ribe Office , then to the Grindsted Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Billund municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 . On October 1, 2010 the former church district Vesterhede Kirkedistrikt in Hejnsvig Sogn became an independent Sogn Vesterhede Sogn with the abolition of the Danish church districts .
1660 inhabitants live in the parish, 1054 of them in the parish (as of January 1st, 2020) The church "Hejnsvig Kirke" is located in the parish.
Neighboring municipalities are in the west Stenderup Sogn , in the north Grindsted Sogn , in the northeast Grene Sogn , in the east Vorbasse Sogn , furthermore in the area of the neighboring Vejen municipality Lindknud Sogn and in the western Varde municipality Vester Starup Sogn .
