Vester Starup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Skast Herred in the then Ribe Office , then to the Varde Municipality in the expanded Ribe Office , which was merged into the "new" Varde municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

The parish has 1,062 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Vester Starup Kirke".

Neighboring communities are Agerbæk Sogn in the south, Fåborg Sogn in the south-west, Øse Sogn in the west and Ansager Sogn in the north-west , and Stenderup Sogn and Hejnsvig Sogn in the north-east neighboring Billund municipality and in the south-east neighboring Vejen municipality Lindknud Sogn .
