Life

Victor Beaumont was born as Peter Wolff and is the son of the actor Martin Wolff. His half-brother Gerry Wolff also worked as an actor. Beaumont was in front of the camera for the first time as early as 1930, and he made his debut under his real name in the silent film Revolte im Erziehungshaus . Under the direction of Fritz Kortner he shot the comedy Der brave Sünder in 1931 , in the same year he was seen in the role of Willy Wormser in Richard Oswald's film adaptation of Captain von Köpenick .

After the National Socialists came to power , Beaumont emigrated to England in 1933 and adopted his stage name, but was not included in the cast lists of British productions until 1942, and in later years he also played in American films. In 1967 he worked in the DEFA production Die gefrorenen Blitze , from 1970 Beaumont was again in front of German cameras, here also mainly as a guest actor in series such as Der Kommissar , Dem Täter auf der Spur or Graf Yoster gives himself the honor .
