Victor Cotiujanschi ( Moldovan ; Виктор Котюжанский * April 9, 1987 in Grimăncăuți , Briceni Rajon , Moldovan SSR ) is a Moldovan boxer.

Career

Victor Cotiujanschi started boxing in 1998 and was trained by Petru Kaduk. He was quarter-finalist of the 2003 European Cadet Championships and eighth-finalist of the 2005 European Junior Championships.

In the adults he was the Moldovan Middleweight Champion in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. He also won bronze in the middleweight division at the 2010 European Cup, the 2011 European Student Championship and the 2008 European Championship . At the 2009 World Cup he reached the quarter-finals after three wins, where he was eliminated in the fight for a medal place against Andranik Hakobjan .

He was also a participant in the European Championships in 2006 , 2010 and 2011 , as well as in the World Championships in 2007 and 2011 . In 2010/11 he boxed for the South Korean teams Incheon Red Wings and Pohang Poseidons in the World Series of Boxing .

In the course of his career he defeated Serhij Derewjantschenko , Antoine Douglas , Boško Drašković , Damien Hooper , Yamaguchi Falcão , Ronald Gavril , Daugirdas Semiotas and Pawel Siljagin, among others .
