Victor Kindo

Victor Kindo (born May 12, 1947 in Saraitoli , Chhattisgarh , India ; † June 12, 2008 in Kunkuri , Chhattisgarh, India) was Roman Catholic bishop of the Jashpur diocese in India.

Life

Victor Kindo was ordained a priest for the Raigarh diocese in India in 1974 .

In 1985 he was appointed fourth Bishop of Raigarh by John Paul II . The episcopal ordination donated him on January 20, 1986 Eugene Louis D'Souza , Bishop of the Bhopal diocese; Co- consecrators were Telesphore Placidus Toppo , Bishop of Dumka and later Cardinal, and Philip Ekka , Bishop of Ambikapur . 2006 he was by Benedict XVI. appointed the first bishop of the Jashpur diocese founded in 2006.

In addition to building up the local church, Kindo was particularly committed to the necessary foundations of education and the social well-being of the various ethnic groups.
