Four Nations Tournament 2016
The 2016 four-nation tournament for women's national football teams took place between January 21 and 26, as in 2004 and 2015, in the Chinese city of Shenzhen and was won by the host. The venue was the Shenzhen Universiade Center. No team from the top 10 of the FIFA world rankings participated. Mexico participated for the fourth time and South Korea for the fifth time.
It was the first time for the Vietnamese team to participate. The team couldn't win a game or score. The game against Mexico was the first ever meeting of the teams.
