Four prominent figures from journalism, cabaret and culture classify the political topics of the week.
The show deliberately breaks with the classic talk show: no politicians or representatives of lobby associations are invited. True to the motto “Responsible citizens do not need a governess”, there is also no moderator sitting in the group, instead a voice from the off throws in the topics and questions. The voice is mostly spoken by Friedrich Küppersbusch .
Regular guests of the show are, for example, taz editor-in-chief Ines Pohl , BILD deputy boss Nikolaus Blome , n-tv political journalist Heiner Bremer , Jan Fleischhauer from Spiegel , the Swiss journalist Frank A. Meyer , the moderators Jürgen Kuttner , Ruth Moschner , and the cabaret artists Ingo Appelt , Serdar Somuncu and Hella von Sinnen .
The program is produced by the production company probono Fernsehproduktion GmbH and is always on n-tv on Thursdays at 11:05 p.m., Fridays at 2:30 p.m. and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. The pilot broadcast was on June 30, 2010 on n-tv. Since January 13, 2011 the show has been running weekly on n-tv.
