Viktor Parma

Viktor Marko Anton Parma (born February 20, 1858 in Trieste , Austrian Empire , † December 25, 1924 in Maribor ) was a composer .

Viktor Parma studied with Anton Bruckner in Vienna . His theatrical works include operas , operettas and theatrical music , they show similarities to the music of Bedřich Smetana , Antonín Dvořák and Ivan Zajc . Parma worked in Ljubljana and other cities in Slovenia and was music director in Maribor from 1920-1924 . Streets are named after him in Ljubljana and other places.
