The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Huancayo ( lat. : Archidioecesis Huancayensis ) is in the central Peruvian Andes situated Roman Catholic archdiocese , based in Huancayo . It comprises five provinces of the Junín department : Chupaca, Concepción, Huancayo, Jauja and Yauli with a total of 96 districts.

history

The diocese of Huancayo was on December 18, 1944 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Supremum Apostolatus Munus from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Huánuco and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Lima as a suffragan .
