The region Junín [ xuˈnin ] (Spanish Región Junín , Wanka-Quechua Hunin shuyu , Southern Quechua Sunin suyu ) is a region in the central Peruvian Andes . 1,246,038 (2017 census) live in an area of ​​44,197 km 2 .
