The region of San Martín [ sanmaɾˈtin ] (Spanish Región San Martín , Quechua San Martín suyu ) is a region in the Andes in northern Peru . The region borders the Loreto and Amazonas regions to the north, Huánuco to the south and La Libertad to the west .
