The Diocese of Chiclayo ( lat. Dioecesis Chiclayensis ) is in the north of Peru located Roman Catholic diocese based in Chiclayo .

The Diocese of Chiclayo was on December 17, 1956 by Pope Pius XII. built from cessions of territory by the Archdiocese of Trujillo and the Diocese of Cajamarca . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Piura as a suffragan .

The diocese includes the territory of the Lambayeque region and the province of Santa Cruz in the Cajamarca region .
