Villa August Koebig

The villa for the Radebeul factory owner August Koebig is located at Schillerstraße 18 in the Alt-Radebeul district of the city of Radebeul in Saxony. The building, which is a listed building along with its explicitly mentioned “wooden vestibule”, was designed in 1900 by the Oberlößnitz architect Oswald Haenel and built by the “Gebrüder Ziller” construction company.

The representative villa built for August Koebig , the owner of the Radebeul machine factory August Koebig , is a two-storey, neo-baroque building on a large corner plot. The view towards Schillerstraße is axially symmetrical with a curved gable with a vase crown in front of the slate-covered roof, the view towards Karl-Marx-Straße shows a side elevation , also with a curved gable.

Towards the corner of the property at the intersection there is a veranda that was later increased. The entrance on the right side of Schillerstraße is in a porch-shaped porch. The plaster is richly decorated with stucco , and there are several portholes with oval windows in the mansard roof .
