history

The residential building, which was built in 1845, was mentioned in 1853 by Hofmann in The Meißner Netherlands ... as the “third [villa] before Kaufm. Weiß [belonging]”: “Further along the Chaussee there are pleasant flower and vineyards that were a little higher up a few years ago Master carpenter [Christian Gottlieb] Ziller built 4 extremely tasteful villas, the first of which is now the Russian pharmacist Stolle from Moscow , the second the Kaufm. Ziller's son, the master builder Moritz Ziller , increased it to its present size in 1865 by adding another floor. In 1872 a stable was built on the property , a winter garden in 1874 and a coach house in 1884 .

In 1950, the "repair of the damage" provided the grounds for further construction activities after the building had been forcibly rented since 1945.

In 1965, garages were built into the remise building, which was also rededicated as the drying room for the VEB Energiebau 's wash base . Its administration with garage yard was located around the next street corner at Körnerweg 5 in the former administration building of the Gröba Electricity Association .

During the GDR era, the villa was used by the Herder Institute on the neighboring property ; As a school for foreigners , the building had been a listed building since 1973 at the latest (see list of monuments of cultural history in Radebeul ).
