Villa Hildebrandt

The Villa Hildebrandt is located in the Niederlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , at Borstrasse 27. It is named after its owner at the turn of the 20th century, the manufacturer Emil Hildebrandt.

The two-storey, today under monument protection standing villa has a jamb and a shallow pitched roof . On the street side to the north side is a narrow, with is pilasters -provided, central projection to the front door. The plastered building is decorated with stucco decor.

The wing with a flattened hipped roof and a dormer decorated with volutes was built on a later renovation on the garden side to the south . On the left side of the garden view is a three-story tower with a hood . A splendid iron construction in neo-baroque forms as a balcony stands above the terrace with an open staircase in the middle of the garden view . The ornate pillars, cornices and bars are made of steel, cast iron, zinc and bronze.

The outdoor area of ​​the property is considered a work of landscaping and gardening .

history

In 1872 the lawyer Julius Witschel had a house built for himself by the builder August Große from Kötzschenbroda .

The later owner, the manufacturer Emil Hildebrandt, co-owner of the Großluga company Kelle & Hildebrandt , had "an extraordinarily magnificent iron structure of an arbor" erected on the back of the building in 1895. This is said to have been exhibited by his company at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889 , where the Eiffel Tower and the Galerie des Machines were also exhibited.

In 1905 Hildebrandt had his villa converted by the builder FA Bernhard Große .
