history

In April 1888, the builder Adolf Neumann asked for a building permit for the house he had designed, which was granted the following month. A building inspection was carried out in September 1889 and the use permit was issued in November 1889.

After the owner at the time "left the GDR illegally" in 1957 , the house fell to the state and was administered by the municipal building management. In 1988 the decision was made to sell the building, which happened to the current owner in the summer of 1990, before reunification . Some time after the reunification, the heirs of the previous owner from 1957 applied for restitution on the property, which was approved in 1998. The city's sale has been invalidated and has been reversed. However, the previous owners saw no need for themselves and sold their house to the old / new owner. In 1999 the current owner, whose family had lived in the house as tenants since 1947, received the entry in the land register in his name.

The house, which was declared a cultural monument in 1991, was renovated in accordance with the requirements of historical monuments by 2003. In 2004, the building owners received the Radebeul building owner award in the monument renovation category . Particular emphasis was placed on the “renewal with a sure instinct [for the] restored details”. The building also received recognition from the German Foundation for Monument Protection .
