The Villa Porsche (today serves as a Porsche guest house and is used for representation purposes)

The Villa Porsche in Stuttgart-Nord , Feuerbacher Weg 48/50, is the former home of the automobile designer Ferdinand Porsche (1875–1951). The property built in 1923 on the Killesberg in the Feuerbacher Heide is now used by Porsche AG as a guest house.

In the spring of 1923 Ferdinand Porsche left his post at the Oesterreichische Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft ( Austro-Daimler ) in Wiener Neustadt . He became a board member and head of the design office of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) in Stuttgart and in the same year commissioned the architects Paul Bonatz and Fritz Scholer with the construction of a country house. Like Paul Schmitthenner , who had built the villas Zerweck and Kahn not far from the Porsche house , Paul Bonatz was a representative of the so-called Stuttgart School , a style developed at the Technical University of Stuttgart .

The villa, designed as a country house, has one to two storeys with an asymmetrical gable roof. Windows of different sizes and shapes enliven the facades. In 1935/36 the first three prototypes of the "KdF-Wagens", the later VW Beetle, were built in the garage building with attached workshop .

The Theodor-Heuss-Haus , built in the late 1950s, is located at Feuerbacher Weg 46 next to the Porsche Villa.
