Ville Kotikumpu (born April 2, 1972 ) is a former Finnish biathlete .

Ville Kotikumpu is an officer and lives in Oulu . He made his debut in Pokljuka in 1998 in the Biathlon World Cup and was 12th of an individual. With this he not only won World Cup points in his first race, but also achieved his best placement in the highest international racing series. Until 2005 he started sporadically in the World Cup, but never again reached the points. In 2001 he started in Jericho at the Military World Ski Championships and finished 27th in the sprint. At the Biathlon European Championships in 2005 in Kontiolahti , the Finn was 25th of the individual and with Ville Raikkonen , Mika Kaljunen and Olli-Pekka Peltola fifth in the relay race. In 2004 Kotikumpu started again in Östersund at the military world championships and came in 54th in the sprint and 17 with Kaljunen, Karri Hietamäki and Ari Palolahti in the military patrol. At the Biathlon World Championships in 2005 in Hochfilzen , he came to his only use at the Biathlon World Championships and was 43rd of the individual. The last major event was the 2006 Military World Ski Championships in Andermatt , Kotikumpu was 37th in the sprint race.
