Olli-Pekka Peltola (born September 8, 1969 in Nurmo ) is a former Finnish biathlete .

Olli-Pekka Peltola serves as a staff sergeant in the Finnish armed forces. He started for Säkylän Urheilijat . He started biathlon at the age of six. At the same time he was an active cross-country skier. In this sport, he contested his first races when he was ten. In biathlon, he made his first race at the age of 14. As early as 1991 he took part in the Biathlon World Championships in Lahti and was seventh in the relay alongside Vesa Hietelahti , Harri Eloranta and Ismo Mäkinen . He achieved the same result with Mäkinen, Antero Lähde and Eloranta in the team competition. At the 1998 Olympic Winter Games of Nagano , he joined together with Ville Raikkonen , Eloranta and Paavo Puurunen in the season and finished eighth. Shortly afterwards, Peltola managed to score his first World Cup points in the Pokljuka singles in 24th. The Finn achieved his best World Cup result only a little later as 17th of a sprint in Hochfilzen .
