Vinbarbital is a chemical compound from the group of barbiturates and thus a derivative of barbituric acid . As a medicinal substance , vinbarbital and its sodium salt have a predominantly hypnotic and sedating effect. In Germany, no preparations based on Vinbarbital are approved.
