In 2008 Vincent Raven had three ravens that he used in performances: Corax, Asael and Odin. As the winner of the casting show , he received 100,000 euros. In March 2008 he also competed in the TV show The next Uri Geller - The best mentalists in the world against one mentalist each from the USA, Israel and the Netherlands and was voted the winner by German TV viewers. In 2008 Raven released the song Prophecy . The video for this was shot on the ruins of Rodenstein Castle in the Odenwald (southern Hesse). The song couldn't make it onto the charts.
In November 2008, Raven appeared in the show Uri Geller Live: UFOs and Aliens - The Unbelievable TV Experiment, also broadcast by ProSieben .
In January 2009 Vincent Raven could be seen together with Uri Geller in the TV show The mysterious Vincent Raven - Uri Geller on the trail of the raven father from ProSieben. From January 13, 2009, he should defend his title in the second season of The Next Uri Geller . On January 24, 2009, however, he suffered a stroke , whereupon ProSieben announced on February 17, 2009 that he was leaving the second season for health reasons.
In January 2012, Raven was on the RTL TV show Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! to be seen as a resident of the jungle camp, where he competed with ten other candidates for the title of "jungle king". He caused a stir with some controversial statements about women in management positions. On the fourteenth day, he was voted out of camp by phone vote after asking viewers not to call for him. He finished fifth.
Controversy
- Shortly after the publication of his song Prophecy , it became known that Raven could be seen in a picture on the website of the satanist group "Black Order of Lucifer", as he was present at their founding ceremony on Walpurgis Night 1999. According to Prior Satorius (Markus Wehrli), Raven was a member of the order and has never officially resigned; The latter, on the other hand, denies being a member of the order or even being a Satanist.
- Vincent Raven is controversial in wizarding circles because he pretends to actually have magical abilities. The president of the Magic Ring of Switzerland, an association of professional and amateur wizards, said it was irresponsible for Raven to claim he could contact the dead ( necromancy ).
- For his appearances in The Next Uri Geller , Vincent Raven was awarded the Pigasus Award 2007 retrospectively on April 16, 2008 in the category "the psychological medium that fooled most people with the least effort" . The Pigasus Award is a negative award that is given out at irregular intervals by James Randi and the James Randi Educational Foundation .
