Vincenzo Cozzi

Vincenzo Cozzi (born November 26, 1926 in Lauria Inferiore , † July 3, 2013 in Melfi ) was Bishop of Melfi-Rapolla-Venosa .

Life

Vincenzo Cozzi was ordained a priest on June 18, 1950 . From 1969 to 1981 he was the rain of the seminary in Policastro Bussentino and pastor in Lagonegro . He was vicar general of the diocese of Tursi-Lagonegro .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Melfi-Rapolla on September 12, 1981 . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio , ordained him episcopal on October 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Vincenzo Franco , Archbishop of Otranto , and Gerardo Pierro , Bishop of Tursi-Lagonegro .

On May 24, 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
