The Vinson Plateau ( Bulgarian плато Винсън plato Winsan ) is the 4000 to 4600  m high summit plateau of the Vinson Massif in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It extends in a north-north-west-south-south-east orientation over a length of 9 km between Goodge Col and Hammer Col and a width of 4.5 km between Branscomb Peak and Silverstein Peak in the west and Schoening Peak and Marts Peak in the east . In addition to Mount Vinson, a series of other peaks of more than 4700  m rise from the plain , including Clinch Peak , Corbet Peak , Silverstein Peak, Schoening Peak and Hollister Peak .

American scientists mapped the plateau in 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2010 after the namesake for the Vinson massif, the US politician Carl Vinson (1883–1981).
