Vinzenz Höfinger

Vinzenz Höfinger (born November 6, 1928 in St. Pölten ; † January 20, 2015 ) was an Austrian businessman and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1986 to 1992 Höfinger was regional councilor in the Lower Austrian regional government .

Life

Höfinger closed after interruption by World War II and the use in war of 1948, the Matura, and then attended the University of World Trade in Vienna , which he in 1952 with the academic degree Diplom Kaufmann graduated. Höfinger then worked in his father's company. He was awarded the professional title of Commercial Councilor.

Höfinger was a local councilor in St. Pölten from 1960 and was elected to the city council in 1970. He was again a member of the municipal council from 1972 to 1979 and was President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce between 1980 and 1986. Between 1990 and 1995 he held the office of vice-president of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce and was also chairman of the Lower Austrian Economic Association from 1985 and 1993 . On July 10, 1975, Höfinger was sworn in as a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament, to which he was a member until November 17, 1988. He also represented the People's Party of 15 May 1986 to 22 October 1992 as the provincial government in the state governments Ludwig II and III as well Pröll I .

Höfinger had been an honorary senator of the Neunkirchen carnival guild since 1990 . He died on January 20, 2015 at the age of 86.
