Vionnaz is a political municipality and a civil parish in the Monthey district in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland .
geography
Vionnaz is located in the lower part of the Valais and stretches from the Rhone plain in the east over the Greffaz alluvial cone to the Alps in the border area with Haute-Savoie. The highest point is La Tour de Don at 1,998 m above sea level. M. The municipality consists of the villages of Vionnaz in the valley and the mountain villages of Mayen, Revereulaz and Torgon and the hamlets of Crébellay, Beffeux and Bonne Année .

traffic
The main road 21 leads through the municipality from the French border to Savoy in Saint-Gingolph to Saint-Maurice and it is the starting point of the main road 11 via Château-d'Oex to Zweisimmen. The Vionnaz station on the SBB line from Saint-Gingolph to Saint-Maurice is located directly east of the municipality boundary in the area of the municipality of Collombey-Muraz. The bus line from Aigle via Vionnaz to Torgon ensures the fine distribution.
