Vitalik Buterin ( Russian Виталий Дмитриевич Бутерин, born January 31, 1994 in Kolomna , Russia ) is a Canadian-Russian software developer and author. Mostly he is known as the co-founder and conceptual inventor of Ethereum .

Life and education

Vitalik's parents are Dmitry Buterin ( computer scientist ) and Natalia Ameline (née Chistyakova, business analyst). Buterin lived until the age of six in Russia, then hiked his parents, in search of better job opportunities, according to Canada from. Buterin was transferred from the third grade of primary school to a class for gifted children. His ability to add three-digit numbers in his head twice as fast as his classmates had been noticed.

Buterin first attended the University of Waterloo and dropped out of college in 2014 when he received a $ 100,000 grant from the Thiel Fellowship to realize his vision of Ethereum full-time.

Career

Author and co-founder of Bitcoin magazine
