Vladimír Boublík

Vladimír Boublík (born November 16, 1928 in Mokrosuky , † September 25, 1974 in Klatovy ) was a Czech theologian.

Life

After attending grammar school in Budweis , he entered the episcopal seminary there in 1947. He was imprisoned after the February Revolution of 1948. May 29, 1952 he fled to West Berlin and from there to Rome . He studied at the Lateran University and worked in northern Italy after his ordination. In 1961 he wrote his doctoral thesis on tezi La predestinazione, San Paolo e Sant '\, Agostino . This was followed by the appointment as assistant of dogmatics to Professor Monsieur Antonio Piolanti , in 1970 professor of fundamental theology. He died while visiting his mother in his homeland.

Works

Boublik left an extensive body of work in Christian anthropology . He was critical of Teilhard de Chardin , whom he accused of eclecticism , titanism and Prometheism . He was tempted to reformulate the Christian anthropological problem of Aurelius Augustine . The basic idea of ​​his search for Christianity is the direct dialogue with Jesus . He dealt with this topic in his dissertation, written in Italian, Man in Jesus Christ . In his major contribution to the Czech theological-philosophical literature Theology of Faith (Theologie náboženství) he tries to direct the attention of the responsible church personalities to social and real problems.
